We are headed towards the Florida Keys tomorrow and I thought I would get this post done before we go.  The last 3 weeks have been spent mostly getting ready to be on the road until November, with a 2 week and an 8 day break at home before we head west June 1.  There is a lot more to getting ready than just piling in the motor home and driving away, plus we have used this time to relax a little.

With the exception of a doctor visit to have my toe checked, we have been doing little, except stuff related to our being gone.  Barb had given Lisa 2 tickets for them to go see Dirty Dancing Live at the Phillips Center, fun evening for them to spend together.  Last weekend, we drove to Tampa and spent Friday at a car show at the Fairgrounds, lots of cool cars.  Then we spent a few hours with friends who had their El Camino entered in the show.  Nice afternoon.  That evening, we went to watch the Tampa Storm and Orlando Predators Arena Football in Tampa, the 58th meeting between these two teams since 1991.  We have seen a slew of these games and they are always entertaining.  Being out of town, this will be the only chance to see them this year.  Orlando ended up beating Tampa by 51 points, the largest margin of victory ever between these two...they are usually really close games.  But it was still a fun day.  We got home about 1 in the morning...a lazy Sunday followed.  The rest of the next week has been packing, making some minor repairs to the motor home, and getting ready.
