5/26/14

We took another day off yesterday.  It was another beautiful day and we suspected there would be a lot of folks out & about because of the holiday.  So we hung out at the motor home and watched the craziness in the campground.  We had a big reunion going on next door.  4 couples with 12 kids between them with their grand parents...it was pretty amazing to watch.  But the kids were well behaved, just enjoying their 1st weekend of the summer together, having a great time. The fun part was watching them swim in the lake, that was 46 degrees...once they got in, they had a ball.

On Monday, we had breakfast and watched everyone pack up and pull out, holiday is over.  We have been part of that too many times to count, so it was enjoyable to watch without having to participate.  When the 'zoo' was over, we got in the car and drove into Polson, went by the post office to mail some stuff and then we went to the 'Miracle of America' museum on the edge of town.  We spent the next 4 hours looking at 'stuff'.  It was an odd collection that this couple has spent their lifetimes collecting...hard to describe a theme, just stuff!  A % of it would mean nothing to someone outside of Montana, but it was still interesting to view what 2 people viewed as collectible.  Barb's comment 'one man's treasure is another man's trash' was appropriate.  But we spent $6 each looking over the collection, it was a nice way to spend an afternoon.

We spent the evening back at the motor home, cooking dinner on the grill and then having a campfire to enjoy our last night gazing at Flathead Lake as the sun set...beautiful place, glad we visited.
