It is Sunday morning, and moving day again, this time from Heber City to Green River State Park in Green River, UT. There is not a lot to see as we move SE from a lush green valley through a desert.
About 1/2 way through our trip, I noticed an overheating motor indicating on a gauge. We pull to the side of the road during a very long grade and coolant is all over the front of the car...not a pretty sight. We have 57 k on the thing and this the first time this has happened, so naturally, we are concerned. We get access to the coolant reservoir after letting it cool down a bit and refill it and move on. It never acts up again the rest of the way. After getting parked in Green River, I check it all out and stretch a hose and spray the radiator down. Some dirt runs out and may be the culprit...we will keep an eye on it. As we move east from here, we will have lots of serious climbs so we don't need this.
Tomorrow, we will make a loop from here to Bryce Canyon and back, following Rt 12 quite a ways. The scenery will be quite different than today, and hopefully much more appealing.
