When we drove home from Bryce on Monday, we drove east on I-70 from I-15 back to Green River.  On the way, the sun set so we drove the last 40 miles in the dark.  When the sun dips below the mountains out here, it gets dark in a hurry.  There was a 20 mile stretch that seemed pretty amazing, steep road, sharp turns, cool looking shapes of the rock formations you could see, but only the silhouettes of in the vanishing light.  So we decided to re-trace our steps and see what we missed...boy, were we in for a surprise.  Check out these pictures.  It is on I-70 between MM 116 & 149.  It is probably the most intense landscape we have ever seen along an interstate anywhere.  If you want to see this section, make sure you do it during the day...it is an amazing stretch of road.

You rarely see signs like these on the Interstate
