8/6/2014

We arrived in Stewart, BC a little while ago.  We drove from Teslin to Watson Lake (149 miles) on Monday, Watson Lake to Iskut, BC (208 miles) on Tuesday and Iskut to Stewart (182 miles) today.  The roads have been pretty rough and the scenery pretty most of the time.  There has been very few wildlife spottings along the way, but we are moving along anyway.  This afternoon, the last 25 miles was more exciting that the rest...several glaciers and lots of running water, both rapids in the streams & waterfalls everywhere.

At Watson Lake, we also had a 'talent show', about 8 of our group participated.  We had a pretty good harmonica player, hula dancing, poetry reciting, two couples who sang together, and of course the guy who played the Hawaiian Guitar with his nose.  It was fun for all...we forgot about the awful roads for a few minutes.

Last night at Tatooga Lake, the campground fed us dinner of beef, and the fixings and then we sat around and talked...everyone is getting tired and looking forward to getting back to the lower 48 and on their own schedule.  Today was day 51 of the trip...being together with strangers that long has been an interesting time.

But we are all doing OK.  It has been a fun time and we have seen some amazing things.  Stay tuned, it will take us 2 months to get home from here, so there is more coming.

I finally got some Wi-Fi that works...
