Moving day again, 170 miles from Palmer to Seward for a 2 day stay. We make a pass at Anchorage and move on south on the Seward Highway. Turnagain Arm is along side us for about 40 miles, a part of Cook Inlet. The tide is out, so the shoreline is all mud. But it is still a very large body of water with mountains surrounding it...pretty drive. We made several stops for pictures and a sandwich.
We arrive at Stoney Creek Campground and get set up. We take the car into town to look around and then drove to Moose Pass for the heck of it...cool little town. Back to Seward to tour the Sealife Center on the shores of Resurrection Bay, a part of Prince William Sound. We have free tickets so we gave it a look, good displays and several large aquariums. Afterwards, we went across the street and had dinner at Christo's Palace, a survivor of the tidal wave the 1964 Good Friday earthquake started. There is still evidence and reminders everywhere...Seward got hit pretty hard. Time for bed, another day tomorrow.
