Moving day again, only 168 miles from Seward to Homer. Homer is way south on the mainland and the Aleutian Islands are the backdrop. We are seeing some of the most amazing places. Our campground is on what is called 'The Spit', a sliver of land jutting out into the sea. It reminds me of The Florida Keys with 10,000' mountains thrown in. And fisherman everywhere, here in 'The Halibut Capital of the World'. The drive takes over 5 hours because of stops for pictures & lunch. We went exploring, since we will be here for 3 nights. By the time we got back to our camper, most everyone is in bed...their loss. The sun sets behind the mountains about 1050 and the moon rises about 1200. Both were pretty spectacular, and I think we were the only ones in our group who saw it. We are in for a fun time.
